What should I avoid after a massage?
You’ll want to drink plenty of water after your massage to hydrate skin and muscles. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, smoking cigarettes/cigars, and other stimulants for at least 24 hours before or after you receive a deep tissue massage because they can interfere with the benefits of this type of treatment.
When should you shower after a massage?
You may want to take a bath or shower after your massage however we recommend waiting a few hours after your massage before showering. In this dry climate we see benefits in allowing the skin to absorb the massage oils fully. We recommend gentle movement such as a peaceful walk if possible.
